Eligibility
AIA Vitality is only available to individuals who are insured under an eligible AIA insurance policy.
All AIA insurance policies offered online through KiwiCover are eligible for AIA Vitality, including existing policies previously issued under the Sovereign brand.
You must be at least 16 years of age to join.
How Does It Work?
AIA Vitality is designed to take you on a journey to better health.
Earn AIA Vitality points by learning about and improving your current state of health in areas such as nutrition, exercise and mental wellbeing.
More Points = Higher Status = Better Rewards
All new members start on Bronze status. As you earn more points you will move to Silver (10,000 points), Gold (20,000 points) and finally Platinum (30,000 points) status. The higher your status, the greater the rewards.

Know Your Health
Better understand your health with AIA’s network of experts, including health checks (mental, physical, nutritional) with full reporting.
Improve Your Health
Get access to the tools you need to improve your health such as discounted Fitbit and Garmin fitness devices, free access to Allen Carr’s Easyway To Stop Smoking programme, and weekly personalised physical activity targets.

Premium Discount
Start with a 10% discount on your eligible insurance premiums. Get even higher discounts when you reach and maintain Platinum status. Please see the AIA Vitality Premium Adjustment Rules PDF for further details.
Active Rewards
You have the choice of two main options for Active Rewards:
Option 1
Get rewarded every week and earn up to $260 in rewards per year. Reach your personalised physical activity target each week and you’ll get the choice between:
- 5 Airpoints Dollars;
- $5 Countdown gift card;
- $5 HOYTS voucher;
- $5 Harvey Norman voucher;
- $5 iTunes voucher;
- $5 donation to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand;
- $5 donation to the Heart Foundation; or
- $5 donation to Trees That Count.
You can change your selection each week if you wish.
Option 2
With the Apple Watch Benefit you can earn an Apple Watch Series 9 (GPS), 41mm (RRP $749) in full by reaching your weekly physical activity targets for 24 months.

Membership Fee
The AIA Vitality membership fee is $11.50 per month per member. This can be paid monthly ($11.50 per month) or annually ($138.00 per annum).

New Applicants
If you are applying for cover, simply add AIA Vitality when you get a quote online. An AIA Vitality application form will be included at the end of your online insurance application.
Existing AIA Policyholders
If you are insured under an existing eligble AIA insurance policy, you can join AIA Vitality at any time by completing the following application form:
